Updated 10 October 2026 · Fees checked against ACCA’s India price list in October 2026
Quick answer: ACCA® (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) course fees in India come in two parts. You pay ACCA in pounds for registration, a yearly subscription, exemptions (exams ACCA lets you skip) and most exams. You pay an exam centre in rupees for four on-demand computer exams: BT (Business and Technology), MA (Management Accounting), FA (Financial Accounting) and LW (Corporate and Business Law).
Illustrative example: a Class 12 student registers in October 2026 and sits all 13 exams at standard entry, 2 per session. They pay about £1,989 to ACCA (≈ ₹2,54,366) plus ₹81,420 at an exam centre. That is roughly ₹3,35,786 before coaching. Pounds are converted at £1 = ₹127.89, the FBIL reference rate on 9 Oct 2026. FBIL (Financial Benchmarks India Ltd) publishes India’s official reference exchange rates. About ₹2,94,189 of the total is due after 2026, so it is an estimate at today’s prices. ACCA has not published those fees yet, and exams after June 2027 move to its redesigned qualification. Use the calculator above for your own number, year by year.
ACCA charges five kinds of fee. There is a one-time registration fee, a yearly subscription, a fee per exemption, a fee per exam and a one-time ethics module. Its India price list (checked in October 2026) shows lower prices for registration and exemptions, with the regular price struck through. Coaching is separate and depends on your provider.
ACCA has 13 exams at three levels. Applied Knowledge has 3: BT, MA and FA. Applied Skills has 6: LW, PM (Performance Management), TX (Taxation), FR (Financial Reporting), AA (Audit and Assurance) and FM (Financial Management). Strategic Professional has 4: SBL (Strategic Business Leader), SBR (Strategic Business Reporting) and two Options. You choose the Options from AFM (Advanced Financial Management), APM (Advanced Performance Management), ATX (Advanced Taxation) and AAA (Advanced Audit and Assurance). PM to FM and all Strategic Professional exams are “session exams”, held four times a year in March, June, September and December.
| Fee | When you pay | £ | ≈ ₹ (illustrative) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Registration | Once, when you register | £30 | ₹3,837 |
| Annual subscription (2026) | Every year you are a student | £140 | ₹17,904 |
| Exemption, Applied Knowledge (BT, MA, FA) | Per exemption, after ACCA awards it | £84 | ₹10,742 |
| Exemption, Applied Skills (LW to FM) | Per exemption, after ACCA awards it | £111 | ₹14,195 |
| Applied Skills session exam (PM, TX, FR, AA, FM) | Per exam, standard entry | £151 | ₹19,311 |
| Strategic Business Leader (SBL) | Per exam, standard entry | £268 | – |
| Strategic Business Reporting (SBR) or an Options exam | Per exam, standard entry | £191 | – |
| Ethics and Professional Skills module (EPSM) | Once, usually before Strategic Professional | £83 | ₹10,615 |
| BT, MA, FA or LW exam | Per exam, to the exam centre | Paid in ₹ | Centre’s price |
In short: no single ACCA fee is huge, but 13 exams and a few years of subscription add up to a few lakh rupees.
The exam fees above are for the December 2026 session, the only one ACCA has priced so far. The registration fee is £30 on the India list, against a regular £89. ACCA gives no end date for the lower price.
BT, MA, FA and LW are on-demand computer-based exams, called CBEs. You book one for a day that suits you at a licensed centre, and the centre sets the price. That price already includes ACCA’s exam fee, so you never pay ACCA a separate fee for these four. Remote exams are not offered in countries that have ACCA exam centres, India included.
Think of a cinema ticket: the counter price already includes the film studio’s share. At QuintEdge’s Mumbai CBE centre, BT, MA or FA costs ₹16,000 + 18% GST, the goods and services tax (₹18,880). LW costs ₹21,000 + 18% GST (₹24,780). Other centres charge their own fee, so the calculator lets you change it.
You pay it every year you stay an ACCA student, even in a year with no exams. ACCA sends the invoice in November, and you pay by 1 January. If you register on or before the late-entry deadline for the June session (usually early May), ACCA also bills that year’s subscription. Register later in the year, and your first one is due the next 1 January.
It works like a gym membership: you pay the yearly fee whether or not you go that year. Illustrative: register in October 2026 and sit your last exam in June 2028, and you pay subscriptions for 2027 and 2028. That is £280, about ₹35,808. If your last exam is in a December session, ACCA invoices the next year’s subscription in November, before your results come out. The calculator counts that one too. If you stop paying, ACCA can remove you from its student register, and re-registering costs £89.
An exemption means ACCA lets you skip an exam because you studied the same subject before. Each one has a fee: £84 for an Applied Knowledge exam and £111 for an Applied Skills exam. The fee is less than sitting the exam, and you finish sooner.
It is like a college accepting your earlier marks, so you do not redo a course you passed. The table compares four starting points: Class 12, a B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce), an M.Com (Master of Commerce) and a qualified CA (chartered accountant). All register in October 2026 and sit 2 exams per session. Every total includes payments after 2026, which are estimates at today’s prices. A “New structure” tag means the plan runs past June 2027, into ACCA’s redesigned exams.
| Starting point | Exams to sit | To ACCA (£) | Exam centre (₹) | Total ≈ ₹ | Last exam cycle |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Class 12 | 13 | £1,989 | ₹81,420 | ₹3,35,786incl. ₹2,94,189 estimate | June 2028New structure |
| B.Com (5 exemptions) | 8 | £2,172 | ₹0 | ₹2,77,769incl. ₹1,74,692 estimate | September 2027New structure |
| M.Com (4 exemptions) | 9 | £2,352 | ₹0 | ₹3,00,788incl. ₹2,11,907 estimate | December 2027New structure |
| Qualified CA (9 exemptions) | 4 | £2,012 | ₹0 | ₹2,57,306incl. ₹66,756 estimate | March 2027New structure |
In short: exemptions cut the bill and the time, but a qualified CA still pays £918 in exemption fees, so the totals end up closer than the exam counts suggest.
Worked example (illustrative): a B.Com graduate skips BT, MA, FA, LW and TX. The 5 exemption fees come to £474. They avoid 4 exam-centre bookings and 1 Applied Skills session exam. Compared with a Class 12 starter, they pay about ₹58,017 less and finish in the September 2027 cycle instead of June 2028. Exemption rules are set by ACCA, so check yours with our ACCA Exemption Calculator.
Late entry costs much more than standard entry. An Applied Skills session exam is £387 at late entry instead of £151, so one late entry adds £236 (about ₹30,181). A resit simply means paying the exam fee again. It can also push your finish date back by a session, and sometimes add a year of subscription.
Think of late entry like a tatkal train ticket: the same seat costs more when you book late. The table shows the extra for each session exam.
| Exam | Standard entry | Late entry | Extra for late |
|---|---|---|---|
| Applied Skills (PM, TX, FR, AA, FM) | £151 | £387 | £236 |
| Strategic Business Leader (SBL) | £268 | £430 | £162 |
| Strategic Business Reporting (SBR) | £191 | £430 | £239 |
| Options (AFM, APM, ATX, AAA) | £191 | £430 | £239 |
In short: entering before the standard deadline is the easiest saving in your whole ACCA budget.
On-demand exams (BT, MA, FA, LW) have no late fee: you just book a slot and pay the centre. Entry deadlines for each session are on our ACCA exam dates page.
ACCA has published exam fees only for the December 2026 session, and the subscription only for 2026. It is also redesigning its qualification. The current Applied Skills and Strategic Professional exams have their last sitting in June 2027, and new exams start from September 2027. Their fees are not out yet, so the calculator uses today’s prices for later years and labels them “Estimate”.
Coaching is the other big cost, and it is up to you. Add your own figure in the calculator, or load QuintEdge’s list prices from our ACCA coaching page. For a fuller picture of the whole journey, read our ACCA cost in India guide.
It depends on your exemptions, exam pace and coaching. As an illustrative example, a Class 12 student sitting all 13 exams at standard entry from October 2026 pays about £1,989 to ACCA plus ₹81,420 at an exam centre. That is roughly ₹3,35,786 before coaching, at £1 = ₹127.89 (FBIL reference rate, 9 Oct 2026). About ₹2,94,189 of it is due after 2026, so it is an estimate at today’s prices. ACCA has not published those fees yet, and exams after June 2027 move to its redesigned qualification.
ACCA’s India price list shows a one-time registration fee of £30, against a regular price of £89 (checked in October 2026). ACCA gives no end date for the lower price. If ACCA removes you from its register for unpaid fees, re-registering costs £89.
Yes. The student subscription (£140 for 2026) is due by 1 January every year you stay registered, even if you sit no exams that year. ACCA sends the invoice in November. If you register by the June session’s late-entry deadline, ACCA also bills that year’s subscription. If your last exam is in a December session, the next year’s invoice arrives before your results.
Yes, for BT, MA, FA and LW in India. These on-demand exams are sat at licensed CBE centres, and the centre’s price includes ACCA’s exam fee. At QuintEdge’s Mumbai centre that is ₹18,880 for BT, MA or FA and ₹24,780 for LW, including 18% GST.
A resit costs the same as sitting the exam again. For an Applied Skills session exam that is £151 at standard entry or £387 at late entry. For BT, MA, FA or LW you pay the exam centre’s fee again. A resit can also push your finish date back by a session.
For the December 2026 session, an Applied Skills exam costs £387 at late entry instead of £151. SBL costs £430 instead of £268, and SBR or an Options exam costs £430 instead of £191. Our ACCA exam dates page lists the entry deadlines.
