ACCA Exam Dates 2026: September & December Sittings, Deadlines & Fees

The countdown tracks session exam weeks — the on-demand papers (BT, MA, FA, LW) don't wait for a sitting and are bookable any day of the year.

This page tracks every published ACCA exam date, entry deadline, and exam fee in one place — verified against the official ACCA important dates page and refreshed after every sitting. Bookmark it: the dates below change only when ACCA publishes new ones.

One rule before anything else: every ACCA deadline closes at 23:59 UK time, not Indian time. India runs ahead of the UK, so "I'll enter on deadline day" is survivable — but cutting it fine on the wrong clock is exactly how people end up paying late fees. Enter a week early and forget about it.

Quick answer: ACCA holds four exam sittings a year — March, June, September and December. Four papers — BT, MA, FA and LW (ENG/GLO variants) — are on-demand CBEs bookable year-round, no sitting required. Every sitting has just two entry deadlines, standard and late — there is no early-bird tier, and late entry means the same exam at a much higher fee.

September 2026 Sitting: Dates & Deadlines

Exam entry for September 2026 opened on 5 May 2026 through myACCA. The dates that matter now:

MilestoneDate
Exam entry opened5 May 2026
Standard entry deadlineMonday 27 July 2026, 23:59 UK time
Late entry deadlineMonday 3 August 2026, 23:59 UK time
Exam weekMonday 7 – Friday 11 September 2026
Results releasedMonday 19 October 2026
Circle 27 July. Standard entry for September 2026 closes on Monday 27 July 2026 at 23:59 UK time — just over three weeks away as of this update. Miss it and you can still enter until 3 August, but every paper jumps to the late fee: an Applied Skills exam goes from £160 to £409. Same exam, same seat, £249 more.

September 2026: Day-by-Day Paper Timetable

Session exams run Monday to Friday of exam week, and each paper sits on a fixed day:

DayPapers
Monday 7 SeptemberAA · AAA
Tuesday 8 SeptemberTX · SBL
Wednesday 9 SeptemberPM · APM
Thursday 10 SeptemberFR · SBR
Friday 11 SeptemberFM · LW (session variants) · ATX · AFM

Each paper runs once, on its fixed day. If you're combining papers in one sitting, check the days before you book leave — your centre and slot details are confirmed in myACCA once you've entered.

December 2026 Sitting: Dates & Deadlines

December is the next full session after September — and its entry window opens just a week after September's standard deadline closes:

MilestoneDate
Exam entry opensTuesday 4 August 2026
Standard entry deadlineMonday 2 November 2026, 23:59 UK time
Late entry deadlineMonday 9 November 2026, 23:59 UK time
Exam weekMonday 7 – Friday 11 December 2026
Results releasedMonday 18 January 2027

Notice the useful overlap: September results land on 19 October, and December standard entry stays open until 2 November — a two-week window to see your September result and still enter December at the standard fee. Waiting for a result costs you nothing.

March and June 2027 dates are not yet published by ACCA. They typically appear in late 2026 — March 2027 details are expected around November 2026. We'll add them here the day ACCA publishes them; no guessed dates on this page.

On-Demand vs Session CBEs: Which Papers Can You Book Anytime?

ACCA runs two completely different exam systems, and knowing which side your next paper falls on changes how you plan:

On-demand CBESession CBE
PapersBT, MA, FA, LW (ENG & GLO) — plus the first seven Foundations (FIA) exams and CATPM, TX, FR, AA, FM (and non-ENG/GLO LW variants), SBL, SBR, AFM, APM, ATX, AAA

How you bookDirectly with a licensed CBE centre (the centre sets the fee)Through myACCA (ACCA sets the fee; entry deadlines apply)

One wrinkle worth knowing: March and September sittings run a limited set of paper variants, while June and December are full sessions. If you sit a less common variant — a local tax or law paper — confirm it's actually offered in your target sitting before you plan around it.

ACCA Exam Fees in 2026 (GBP)

ACCA prices exams per sitting. The table below is the published September 2026 schedule. December 2026 fees are not yet published by ACCA — treat September's numbers as a planning guide until they are.

ExamStandard entryLate entry
Applied Skills — per paper (PM, TX, FR, AA, FM, session LW variants)£160£409
Strategic Business Leader (SBL)£282£467
Strategic Business Reporting (SBR)£208£467
Options — per paper (AFM, APM, ATX, AAA)£208£467

Read the shape of that table: late entry isn't a small surcharge, it's a flat, much higher per-paper fee. And there's no early-entry discount to chase — standard entry is already the cheapest price ACCA offers.

Beyond exam fees, budget for:

  • Initial registration: £89, one-off (re-registration after removal is also £89).
  • Annual subscription: £140 for 2026 — payable every year you stay registered.
  • Exemption fees: £86 per Applied Knowledge paper, £114 per Applied Skills paper. Work out what you'd owe with our ACCA exemptions guide and calculator.
  • Ethics and Professional Skills Module (EPSM): £83.
  • On-demand papers (BT, MA, FA, LW ENG/GLO): no fixed ACCA fee — each licensed centre sets its own price, typically paid in INR at Indian centres.

ACCA bills in GBP even for Indian students — the India fee page carries the same £ figures as the UK one, so any ₹ number you see elsewhere (including ours) is a conversion that moves with the exchange rate. For the full rupee picture from registration to membership, see our ACCA cost in India breakdown, and verify the current schedule on the official ACCA fees page.

ACCA Exams in India: Centres, Booking & the Remote-Exam Change

Here's the change many guides still miss: remote exams have been withdrawn for India. From the March 2026 sitting onwards, ACCA requires all session exams in centre-provision countries — India included — to be taken at physical exam centres. Sales of on-demand remote exam tokens stopped on 4 November 2025 (tokens bought earlier stay usable until they expire), and only the Professional Diploma in Sustainability is still delivered remotely. If a blog or counsellor tells you to "just book remote from home", that advice is out of date.

Commonly available centre cities include Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kochi and more — but centre lists are dynamic, so confirm live availability for your sitting in myACCA before you build a plan around a city, especially outside the metros.

Booking also works differently by exam type: session CBEs are booked through myACCA during the entry window, while on-demand CBEs are booked directly with a licensed centre on whatever dates that centre offers. New to all of this? Start with our ACCA eligibility and registration guide — you need an active ACCA registration (£89) before you can enter any exam.

Planning Your Sittings: Sequencing Without Burning Money

  • Put entry deadlines in your calendar, not exam dates. The exam date never sneaks up on anyone; the standard deadline does. For September 2026 that's 27 July; for December it's 2 November — both 23:59 UK time.
  • Book standard, never late. Late entry buys you exactly one extra week to decide and charges £249 more per Applied Skills paper for the privilege. If you're a week out from a standard deadline and still undecided, decide — don't pay ACCA to procrastinate.
  • Use the results-to-deadline overlap. September results (19 October) arrive two weeks before December standard entry closes (2 November) — so you can wait for a result before entering your next papers at the standard fee.
  • Treat on-demand papers as flex capacity. BT, MA, FA and LW don't need a sitting — slot them between sessions to keep momentum without overloading a single exam week.

Weighing ACCA against other finance routes, or pairing it with one? Our CFA exam dates hub tracks that calendar the same way — useful if you're sequencing two qualifications around each other.

ACCA Exam Dates: Frequently Asked Questions

1. How many ACCA exam sittings are there in a year?

Four session sittings — March, June, September and December. On top of that, the on-demand CBE papers (BT, MA, FA and LW in its ENG/GLO variants) can be booked year-round at licensed centres. March and September run a limited set of paper variants, while June and December are full sessions.

2. What is the next ACCA exam date?

The next sitting is September 2026 — exam week runs Monday 7 to Friday 11 September 2026, with results on 19 October 2026. Standard entry closes 27 July 2026 and late entry closes 3 August 2026, both at 23:59 UK time. After that, the December 2026 sitting runs 7–11 December.

3. What is the difference between the standard and late entry deadlines?

Only the fee — the exam itself is identical. For September 2026, standard entry closes 27 July and late entry closes 3 August. At late entry an Applied Skills paper jumps from £160 to £409, SBL from £282 to £467, and SBR or an Options paper from £208 to £467. There is no early-entry tier, so standard entry is already ACCA's best price.

4. Can I take BT, MA or FA at any time of the year?

Yes. BT, MA and FA — plus LW in its ENG and GLO variants — are on-demand CBEs: you book directly with a licensed centre for any available date, year-round. Results appear on screen immediately and are uploaded to your ACCA record within 72 hours. Fees for these papers are set by each centre, not by ACCA.

5. Are remote ACCA exams still available in India?

No. From the March 2026 sitting, ACCA withdrew remote session exams in centre-provision countries, including India — all session exams must be taken at a physical centre. Sales of on-demand remote exam tokens stopped on 4 November 2025 (already-purchased tokens work until expiry), and only the Professional Diploma in Sustainability remains remote.

6. When are the September 2026 ACCA results released?

Monday 19 October 2026. December 2026 results follow on 18 January 2027. On-demand CBE papers don't wait for a results day — your result shows on screen at the end of the exam and is uploaded to your ACCA record within 72 hours.
